Program to play IPX games over the
internet through a Kali server. Almost any game that supports IPX will work with
Kali. You don't even need MacIPX installed to play games with Kali over the
internet. Of course there are exceptions. Not all games can handle the packet
loss and slow speeds that are common on the Internet. Games which can be played
satisfactorily over Kali include: LinksLS, Warcraft2, Descent, Descent2, Duke
Nukem 3D, Command & Conquer and MechWarrior 2

If you play games over the
internet, then you know what a hassle it can be when you are going to host a
game and need to give your IP address to your fellow players. You have to open
your TCP/IP control panel, write down your IP address, and then retype the IP
address for your fellow players. MyIPAddress is a small application which will
now do all of this for you. MyIPAddress looks up your current IP address and
then copies it to your clipboard.
NetLink Remote was written as an
alternative to Apple's ARA software which was too expensive for most individuals
and too slow for demanding games like Marathon. NetLink Remote's high speed
modem protocol has been optimized for realtime games and in most cases is much
faster than the built in modem support provided by some games. Use this in
combination with TCPSerial for playing AppleTalk games over the Internet.
Doesn't require a server like IPRemote does.

This game can be used
to connect to other gamers over the internet with some games, notably Command
& Conquer but others are possible as well. The Outland TCP Tool is a
connection tool for the Communications Toolbox. It uses the MacTCP driver to
communicate over TCP/IP networks. The tool supports synchronous and asynchronous
open, close, listen, read, and write. This is not a Telnet tool! If you want
to connect to the Telnet port, 23, you are probably not going to have much luck.
The Outland TCP Tool provides a raw TCP connection only. In the settings
dialog, you can enter an IP address and port number. If you are using the tool
to open a connection, the address and port number are of the TCP port you are
connecting to. If you are using the tool to listen for an incoming connection,
the address is ignored (it is always the local machine), and the port is the
port number to listen on. The port number 0 has a special meaning to the MacTCP
driver; using it is not recommended.
TCPSerial simulates a
serial driver and modem using a TCP/IP connection allowing one to use Apple
Remote Access and other programs that normally only work with modems over the
Internet. Use this with NetLink Remote for games over the internet.

The USB Overdrive is a
universal USB driver that handles all USB mice, trackballs, joysticks and
gamepads from any manufacturer and lets you configure them either globally or on
an application-specific basis. It reads all kinds of wheels, buttons, switches
and controls and supports scrolling, keyboard emulation, launching and complex
macros as well as all the usual stuff like clicking, control-clicking and so
forth. The USB Overdrive can easily handle several USB devices at once- I have
two mice, one trackball, two joysticks and one gamepad connected to the same
iMac, and each of them comes from a different manufacturer.
